Comifest 2014 (Day 2)
I went down to Suntec to check out Comifest today ^_^. Enjoy the photographs!
Event Name: Comifest
Location: Suntec
Website: http://www.sgcomifest.com
“ ComiFest is an Animation, Comics and Games (ACG) event that focuses on fun and interactive communication between exhibitors and the public.
It is the only event of its kind in Singapore that features all original creators.
Key focus is given to original content, and seleceted Comixmag artists
and participating artists will be showcasing their original comics and merchandises!
Highlights include:
- “Artist ShowTime” Live art demos
- Stage Performances and Cosplay competition
- Carnival style games developed from local comics titles ”
I arrived very late at the event so I apologise if my photos does not fully portray the event in it’s entirety.
The event is relatively small and only occupies Suntec Level 3’s The Concourse ; a very aptly named area xD
The highlight of the event was the Original Artist booths
Super cute neko merchandises by Purrball xD Find them on their facebook page at http://facebook.com/purrballs !
Hehhee, so cute! I bought the rainbow cake mobile strap xD
There was a huge snake & ladder inspired board game in the middle of the event. The Board game was based on the comic “The Celestial Zone “ by Singaporean Comic Artist Wee Tian Beng.
“ The Celestial Zone (simplified Chinese: 《天界无限》; traditional Chinese: 《天界無限》; pinyin: Tiān Jiè Wú Xiàn), sometimes commonly abbreviated as "TCZ" is a comic strip created by Singaporean Wee Tian Beng (黄展鸣). There are two series for the strip: The Celestial Zone I and The Celestial Zone II. The Celestial Zone II broke new grounds as it was fully coloured in A4 Size like the Hong Kong Comics. The Celestial Zone has attracted a dedicated following among fans in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Europe and North America. The series is published both in Chinese and English.
Following the TCZ Saga, a new series was created, The Celestial Zone 21. It had an entirely new plot, era and characters.”
There was even a TCZ cosplayer haha!
SPeaking of cosplayers…. I also managed to have some photographs taken with the Guest Cosplayer of the event; Clive! Clive was cosplaying as Cain from Trinity Blood.
Super love the details on his costume! And the wings looks so sturdy!
Unfortunately, I didn’t get a chance to shoot with Onnies. But I did managed to capture some photos of her when she was playing the Board Game with a few lucky attendees!
Onnies preparing to throw her dice.
Onnie’s earnest reaction to her dice throw. Super kawaii xD
Onnies dancing to the music XD
And of course, who can miss out on the Anime merchandises when we’re at a convention?
A big thank you to all the cosplayers who posed for me and let me take their photos! Hope you guys enjoyed the event and my photographs!
