Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon 20th Anniversary Merchandise

2014 marks the 20th anniversary of the classic Magical girls series; SailorMoon!

The popularity and pervasiveness of the series is unparalleled in the world of Magical Girls Anime. It having been one of the first Shoujo series Anime fans of our generation was exposed to, this "first love" is both unforgettable and impactful.

Needless to say, many young girls found courage and enjoyment from the series and regarded the Sailor Senshis as their friends while growing up. With the celebration of Sailor Moon's 20th anniversary,  a slew of merchandise and even a new anime has been produced to rekindle the flame in every Sailormoon fan!

I have gathered some newly released Sailormoon merchandise in this post for all the sailormoon fans out there. Enjoy! Because seriously, who doesn't love consumerism xD ?

 

Sailormoon makeup! A range of eyeliners and eye shimmer pens. The price of the product ranges from 900 yen to 1200yen. Pretty average price tag.

Sailormoon figurines by S.H.Figuarts. These figurines are not only detailed but the limbs are entirely movable as well. On top of that, they also come with very expressive faces xD

Desktop Sailor Moon! These are capsule toys that have the girls all in some sort of sitting positions so they can accompany you while you work at your desk! Recommended selling price is 300 yen.

Miracle Romance Nail Collection! These are a set of 5 different shades of Nail Polish. Needless to say, each bottle represent one of the inner senshis. This sells for 5000 yen

And here’s their transformation Pens! Coming in a range of 5 to represent each of the inner Senshis, these Henshin pens can be opened up and used as a ballpoint pens. It is sold as a set for 6480 yen, you can pay an additional sum to have some sort of “Cap portion Mascot clip”  sent to you too. Products are not sold separately ! This is probably by far the most usable merchandise that isn’t exorbitantly priced. However, this is a pen that takes some guts to use in public ha-ha.

Here is another set of exquisitely designed pen for the more sophisticated fans. Sailor Uranus, Sailor Neptune and Sailor Chibi Moon’s design is available. Filled with gold edges and tip, this pen sells for 810 yen each. Individual purchase is possible

Sailor moon pointer pen. Another set of pens but with a pointer function. These are actual working pens with black ink. On Bandai’s website you have to buy this as a set of 5 but it seems like there are plans to sell them individually at the stores in the future. This set sells for 7020 yen.

Sailor Moon Pins and charms! I find this set of jewellery to be the cutest and most wearable. Each box comes with 5 charms and pins and it is only sold for 2781 yen each! There is 4 box (sets) of charms to choose from and you can also buy all 20 of them together.

Sailor Moon Serenity Crystal Tiara Ring. The maker of this product states that this is a real accessory made out of “Swarovski K18 gold coating, pink to 925” (google translator). I think it means that the pink crystal is real swarovski crystal while the band is gold plated (internal ring is made up of Silver 925). This sells for 15,120 yen. I personally find this ring very overprices despite the fact that it’s gold plated silver and has a single swarovski crystal.

Sailor Moon Sailor Crystal Tiara Rings. A slightly simplified version of the above ring for each of the 5 senshis. It is made of Silver 925 with K-18-plated coating and Swarovski crystal. They sell for 11,340 yen each.

Leather wallet for adult woman. Studded with Swarovski Crystal and a Star; + Crescent gold emboss. According to the page, it is handcrafted by a Craftsman and can be used for a long time. It is made of Cow Leather, synthetic leather and brass/plating. I don’t know how much real leather was used here but I kinda find this too expensive too -_-;

Annnnd we have a pouch of similar design for adult women! Apparently this is also made of Cow Leather tough the percentage of real leather is unclear. This sells for 30,240 yen!

And lastly , moreeeeeeee pendents! These are the Sailor Moon R Crystal Star Brooch~ The brooch (with honestly is more like a pendent) is made up of Silver 925 and studded with Swarovski crystals. They sell for 12,960 yen each!
