Japan #1 Cosplay Reika Arikawa to guest at SMASH 2015 (SYDNEY)
SMASH! is delighted to reveal that Japan’s #1 cosplayer, REIKA ARIKAWA, will be returning to SMASH! for a second time.

REIKA (麗華) is Japan’s top-ranking cosplayer and is well-renowned for her elaborate hand-made costumes and accurate portrayal of male characters. Reika’s most popular cosplays include Jinguji Ren (Uta no Prince-sama LOVE 1000%), Levi (Shingeki no Kyojin), and Hijikata Toshiro (Gintama).
Amongst the many international conventions that Reika attends every year, Reika has chosen to be part of SMASH! again after a successful debut appearance at last year’s convention. In SMASH! 2014, Reika hosted a hair and makeup panel, and joined various SMASH! activities including karaoke, Cosplay Catwalk and Sydney’s only authentic Maid Cafe.
President Andrew Qiu believes Reika’s return to SMASH! reflects the “strong demand and enthusiasm” for authentic cosplay talent in Australia.“On behalf of SMASH!, we are ecstatic to welcome Reika back to SMASH! where she belongs,” Qiu said. “Fans unanimously want to see Reika again, and it is no doubt that Reika wants to revisit SMASH! as well.
